About the Event

🌲 Join Us for A Day of Learning, Sharing & Celebrating North Idaho! 🌲

Our breathtaking region is not only our home but also to the awe-inspiring bear. Let’s honor this shared space by immersing ourselves in a day curated especially for our community.

Event Highlights:

🔸 Bear Spray 101: Marvel at our radio-controlled Grizzly and grasp the sheer speed of these wonders. Learn the proper way to use bear spray - essential for every North Idaho hiker. (Demo times 11:00am, 1:00pm, 3:00pm)

🔸 Electric Fencing – A Local’s Guide: Safeguard your beehives, chickens, or goats from inquisitive bears. Master the art of electric fencing the homesteader's way.

🔸 Apple Cider Press – Idaho Style: Harvest time is upon us! Bring your apples, and let’s turn them into delectable cider. Plus, discuss how timely fruit picking deters our furry friends. (Serve yourself while supplies last!)

🔸 Livestock Carcass Pick-up Initiative: Unveiling our brand-new program, crafted keeping our hardworking ranchers and farmers in mind.

🔸 Camping in North Idaho: Delve into the dos and don’ts of camping from Priest Lake to the Selkirks, ensuring we coexist peacefully with our bear inhabitants.

🔸 All About Huckleberries: A day in North Idaho is incomplete without a touch of huckleberry magic. Dive into the world of our cherished fruit.

Food & Fun: Enjoy complimentary hot dogs and hamburgers 🍔, and stand a chance to bag some amazing prizes!
